hot, hot, hot

Not just outside, but also inside. I wasn't feeling to great today. A bit of a fever and whatnot. So after a long busy week, Mommy and I hung out at home. Daddy came home for lunch and also early from work. So we played a bit and did some colouring. I also got to watch some great stuff on our new TV. Tomorrow is suppose to be even hotter than today, so hopefully I'll get out.

Good-bye Grandma and Grandpa!

Today Mommy and I drove back to Ottawa. It was a long 7 hour trip for both of us, but especially for Mommy since she didn't get a lot of sleep last night. She also had to go to work shortly after arriving home. But I was very happy to see Daddy and we went outside to play in my water table and then go for a walk. Daddy says I have grown a lot since he last saw me a week ago and I also chat even more. It's nice to be home, even though I already miss my Grandparents.

While Mommy went out to do some shopping all by herself, Grandma and I went out for lunch. I was super good for Grandma and she was totally impressed! When we got home Mommy was there and Grandpa showed up from his ball practice soon after. So we just spent the afternoon playing on the back deck. I played in the water, Mommy blow some bubbles and Tyson the cat came by for a visit.

For dinner we decided to go out. Again I was super good. I ate fries, pizza and pasta for dinner, along with some of my food. I also did some colouring. I still attempt to eat the crayons, but I am getting better. I also pointed to the patio door of the restaurant and said door.

When we got home from dinner, I played outside in the water again. This time completely naked. It was the best! Though something tells me you won't be seeing those pictures anytime soon......

lets go deeper grandma!

Today Grandma, Grandpa, Mommy and I went back to Port Dover to swim at the beach. It was very hot out and we couldn't wait to go swimming. So after my nap and lunch, we drove to the beach. The sand was very hot when we got there, but either way I still wasn't walking on it. Besides a 20 minute break for a drink and snack, I spent 2 hours in the water. I loved the waves and Grandma pulling me along. We also practiced my kicking. I kept walking into the water till it was up to my neck, then back to the shore. Each time I went out, I went a bit deeper. Grandma said I got braver and braver each time. Grandpa also came in and we had big splash time. Mommy took lots of pictures and them lifted my up and down over the waves. I was so tired afterwards I had a nap on the way home.

After my nap and a big dinner, I was full of beans running around the house. Grandma said it was like I had a bunch of sugar or something. It took Mommy just over an hour to get me to sleep. Sorry Mommy, it was such a great day I didn't want it to end!

week long update!

Sorry Mommy and I haven't had a chance to update lately. It has been a very fun and busy week. So here is what has been going on...

SATURDAY: Jody's 60th Birthday Party for Grandma Diane. What fun that was. When we arrived Grandma was surprised to see lots of old friends there. My cousins were there and we played a lot in the beautiful garden and with Jody's piano. I just love pianos! But soon I gave out and fell asleep. Soon Mommy did to and we both slept on the couch while the party bussed round us.

SUNDAY: Off to the Kemp's Boat....Lady C. It was the perfect day to hang out on the boat. I explored the boat while waiting for the rest of the family to show up. After some lunch, us cousin put on our life jackets and off we went. I had so much fun hanging out on the front deck with Daddy. But I wasn't feeling 100% and when he took me to the bridge I puked everywhere. Sorry Grandpa Denis! So Mommy and I went for a small nap. It was great sleeping on the boat. When we got back, Rhys and I hung out and played. We also did some fishing together with Aunt Nita and Mommy. Rhys caught 2 fish and we got to touch them. It was really neat. I think Rhys named them Bob and Thomas just before letting them go. We also had a nice dinner and birthday cake and gifts for Daddy. What a great day, no wonder I slept so good that night.

MONDAY: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!! Today Daddy, Mommy, Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Tim, Rhys, Octavia and I went to the Toronto Zoo. It was great. I loved seeing all the animals. Rhys has been lots of times and showed me everything. We even had fries for lunch. I helped guard Rhys's fries by chasing the seagulls away. I saw lions and monkey and fish and zebras and giraffes....so many animals. Just before we left Mommy and Rhys got to ride a camel. That was so cool. Then it was time to take Daddy to the train station to catch his train home. Even though he had to go, he was a great birthday at the zoo. Bye Daddy, we'll miss you this week!

TUESDAY: Today was a day of rest. After such a busy weekend, Grandma, Mommy and I just hung out, while Grandpa caught up on some work. We went shopping and played in the garden, read some books and watched some movies. A nice relaxing day.

WEDNESDAY: We said goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa Kemp and drove to see Grandma Wen and Grandpa Dan in Brantford. When I woke from my nap, we were there. We hung out around the house and garden. Grandma Wen has so much cool stuff around her garden, including a mirrored ball that I found a friend in. We played boo together and I shared my ball. Ok really, I do know it's me in the ball. Grandma also has a bird bath that I love to play in. So we filled it with warm water all afternoon. It was very nice to just hang out.

THURSDAY: Off to the beach! After y nap we packed up the car and went to Port Dover! I forgot how much I loved it there. Of course there was no way I was walking on the sand in bare feet, so Grandma carried me to the water. After that, there was no getting me out. It was a bit wavy, but I didn't care, I spent the whole time yelling "got it" as I caught each wave. It was also fun to hang around on the shoreline and splash around. But then I had to come out for lunch. But that too was interesting since there was so much activity on the beach. Seagulls are very funny and kept wanting my cheese and snack mix. After lunch it was back in the water, but not for long, my lips started turning purple and I started to shake. So we decided since it had clouded over to get out and go walk around town and shop. We stopping for ice cream and I really enjoyed Grandma's butterscotch over Mommy's chocolate, go figure. What a great day, I hope we go back again this weekend!

FRIDAY: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY AUNT NITA AND UNCLE PETER!!! After my nap and lunch, Grandma, Mommy and I went shopping. I got some new cloths for the fall while Grandma and Mommy got some garden stuff. I was very good during our shopping, holding Grandma's hand in the mall and not running off. So Grandma bought me a nice toy and book. When we got home I hung around the backyard until dinner. After dinner, Mommy went and relaxed while I hung with Grandma and Grandpa. I helped Grandma water the garden and played with her watering can. I even got to stay up a bit later than usual, but fell asleep right after my bath.

60 gnomes on the lawn!

HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY GRANDMA DIANE!!!

Did you enjoy your 60 gnomes on the lawn! Ha, ha! And they weren't rented, all bought, all for you to keep. (pictures to come soon!) What a great day. My cousins, Octavia and Rhys came over and we played in the backyard. Got all wet and watered the garden. Then we spent the rest of the day playing inside until it was time to go out for dinner. After dinner, it was home for cake. Unfortunately I fell asleep before cake. But I am sure it was good!

Sometimes friends fight.

Today Hannah, Jacob and their mom Sharon came over for a play date. It was fun to have them over. Unfortunately Hannah and I got into a fight over my kitchen and a few toys. But sometimes that happens and she is still my best friend.

Tonight we head to Burlington to visit the family. It should be fun......hee, hee! Stories and pictures to come after the weekend I'm sure!

This afternoon I went over to Hannah's for a playdate. We had fun with all her toys and I got to eat a hersey kiss. It was soooo good. I must take after my Uncle Peter, he loves those kisses too!

Another month older.....

I am 18 Months old today. Mommy can't believe how time flies. I am growing up so fast!

just plain tired today

Not much to report today. Mommy and I are just plain tired.

But I have updated the blog from last Thursday till today in case you missed the past few days.

the most incedible park!

Today, Mommy and I ment Hannah, Jacob and Sharon at Brewer Park. It was the greatest! Lots of play structures suited for different ages and a really cool water park. Hannah and I got wet, down and dirty in some sand, then played on the structures. Yes I know, me playing in the sand. I still didn't like it on my hands, but I had a great time!

Airports are fun!

While waiting for Mommy's flight to arrive, I had fun chasing the luggage around and around
the carrisels. I made Daddy very dizzy. Soon Mommy arrived and I caught her suitcase! I was so happy to see her. Who knew the airport could be so much fun!



After leaving the airport we stopped in to see David and Sandra. Of course I found a puddle to jump in. It also just as fun to sit it in as well! Sorry Mom, I'm all wet!
