Weekend Getaway

This weekend Mommy, Daddy and I decided to go to Lake Placid. We packed up Saturday morning and off we went. I got to watch some movies and then slept the rest of the way. It's only about 3 hours away. Once we got there we checked into our hotel, then went to check out the town. We played by the lake and did some shopping. Mommy hit the Gap Outlet and we lost her there for a while. Back at the hotel before dinner, I ran around the big room and jumped on the king size bed. I just love a big bed! I was super good for dinner, ate all my food, french fries and some pasta. I coloured with Daddy and we worked on my shapes. We went for an evening walk, played by the lake and then it was back to the hotel for bed.

Sunday we got up early, ok I got up early, but laid in the big bed with Mommy and Daddy to watch some TV. But soon our lazy bums got up, checked out, grabbed some bagels and coffee and headed to the hiking trails. We decided to hike up Mt. Joe. I had a great time enjoying the ride in the backpack. We when got to the top the view was great! But soon we had to hike back down and get on the road back to Ottawa to have dinner with Aunt Alison and the cousins. Even though it was a quick weekend, it was a great one.
